我們在實驗室設計的搭配中，很多實驗操作的步驟和原理需要設備基礎來進行搭配的，經過專業的設計人員綜合多方面因素設計完成的，與普通建筑有很大區別。

　　因為實驗室儀器設備對電路的要求比較復雜，并不是通常人們所認為的那樣，只要滿足大電壓和大功率的要求就可以了。事實上有很多儀器設備對電路都有特殊的要求(例如靜電接地、斷電保護、等電位連接等)。

　　對配電系統的設計，不但要考慮現有的儀器設備情況，同時也要考慮實驗室幾年的發展規劃，充分考慮配電系統的預留問題及日后的電路維護等問題。

　　為了保證電力的可靠保障，還應考慮不間斷電源或雙線路設計，不間斷電源的容量應符合實際所需并保證一定可擴增區間以滿足未來的發展所需。

　　此外對于某些特殊的區域，實驗室設計內如氣瓶間則應采用防爆電器元件以確保無隱患。墻上的插座應充分考慮需求，例如樣品室應留足冰箱的插座、前處理室應預備離心機的插座、門口應預留自動鞋套機的插座、走廊兩側也應考慮到分布一些插座。
